I saw "Lost and Space" three or four times in the movie theatres... I saw it over and over again to see Gary Oldman give the performance of anyone's career as Smith... as Doctor Smith... their wil never.. be.. no words.. just.. Gary Oldman is herculean as Smith.. as Doctor Smith .. (.. did I spell 'herculean' correctly..?..)... no actor wants what happened to Gary Oldman at the end of 'Lost in Space' to happen to them in a movie.. Gary Oldman didn't want that.. he didn't .. no actor does.. Gary Oldman didn't.. it's Entertainment Weekly that wanted that..
