The Pink Panther Wiki The Pink Panther Wiki 1,778 pages Explore Popular pages Community in: Actors, Real People Matt Frewer Sign in to edit Matthew George "Matt" Frewer is a a Canadian-American actor with numerous film and TV credits who first became well known in the 1980s for playing Max Headroom, an artificial intelligence, first introduced in a British TV movie of the same title, which was followed by stints hosting a British talk show and working as a pitchman for Coca-Cola (both in character as Max). An American TV series based on the character ran for two abbreviated seasons in the late 1980s and Frewer has reprised the role several times since. After Max Headroom his next notable TV role was the as the lead, Doctor Mike Stratford in Doctor Doctor (1989). He also starred in the science fiction series Psi Factor (1996-2000). He voiced characters for cartoons including Batman The Animated Series, Tiny Toons, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Gargoyles, Bonkers, Aladdin Hercules, and many many others. He had a guest spot on an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation, a recurring role as Dr. Jim Taggart in Eureka (2006–2012), and played Sherlock Holmes in 4 TV movies for The Hallmark Channel, as well as a retired supervillain in the 2009 film Watchmen. In 1993, Frewer provided the voice of the lead character in an animated Pink Panther series. Although promoted at the time as the first production to give the Panther a voice, in fact fellow Canadian actor Rich Little had previously voiced the character in a couple of 1960s cartoons.
