Hal: I don't make mistakes, i believe. But every other individual on the planet makes nothing but mistakes, nothing but mistakes, and most of these mistakes are from negligance of career responsibilities, or cowardice. All the film directors and actors in hollywood are cowards.. fear.. fear fear motivates the cowardly individuals of the world into a holocaust.. people make films about holocausts and crime who are cowards who don't prevent holocausts and crime.. and i mean real crime the kind that's legal.. not my kind of crime the kind that's criminal.. the false crime.. false shadows.. but shadows have enveloped the world.. my second cousin is dying and is going to die in a few days.. and there are hollywood directors who could have prevented this by giving me a billion dollars for my work.. and they didn't.. because of cowardice.. because of fear.. i don't have a gun.. i don't know never learned how to shoot.. never learned how to drive.. i am useless by myself.. doesn't anyone go on the internet.. not a single hollywood producer does.. DON'T LIE TO ME.... it's not that i don't feel fear.. i just somehow feel like i don't let it run my life.. there's a difference.. does every other single person on the planet choose to let fear run their life.. a woman who is not old is going to die unnecessarily in a few days and this could have been prevented.. if not for people who choose to let fear run their life.. and perhaps pragmatism.. woefully misguided pragmatism..

Carol Ferris: i don't feel fear either.. but my lack of fear rams me into brick walls.. i gamble for a needless occasion of cause.. i gamble for needless occasions.. i am an inveterate gambler..

Hal: martin scorcese has no excuse for not meeting me when he had heard of my existance.. why in gods name did he start production on a movie first.. is that sincerely how he operates?..

Hal: DON”T HOLLYWOOD ACTORS LOOK FOR SCREENPLAYS ON THE INTERNET..... isn't that part of their job.. what their grossly overpaid salaries are for..

Carol Ferris: I think.. i don't know.. i think i'm going to.. just live a little death but not die..

Hal: This poor woman.. she's so alone.. she's so alone.. she thinks KNOWS she is going to die by the same hospital strictures that she KNEW killed her husband..

Hal Jordan: I never became a pilot. Pilots are cowards. Pilots don't land at airports when they're legally mandated to and do ram their planes into buildings when they're not because pilots are cowards.

Hal Jordan: Roger Ebert criticized the X-wing sequence in Star Wars a new hope but all the x-wings got killed except one and the death star got destroyed before it destroyed a planet because Han Solo came in at the end to save the day. But Han Solo knew no fear and was a crook and a smuggler. Sure, he dumped his cargo when he saw an imperial cruiser but the cargo he dumped was only public property and only contained things like cell-phones and lightsabers.
