I once joked if I went to prison maybe I'd read finnegans wake.. you STUDY finnegans wake.. you said.. ahh.. yes... my memories coming back.. always thought you could write your way into any university when you mentioned the connection between marshall mcCluhan and finnegans wake..

Michael Schorr: .. yes .. your mother.. your REAL mother bought that book once... the other parents.. i'm so SORRY this happened.. I feel like a deadbeat dad.. those other parents.. I think their in.. your mother got rather MEAN.. rather mean-spirited didn't she.. I think those parents are both in Russia now.. their part of the Russian legacy.. I think it's their lot to suffer greatly in Russia now.. I'm sorry.. you sow as you reap.. I'm rather unforgiving toward them but I know you'll forgive them..

Michael Schorr:  but I don't WANT you to have to regret.. DECADES of your life were stolen from you by school.. this was TIME-theft .. time was stolen from your life.. it happened with me too.. David.. it happened with me too.. the movies mattered so much to me when I was a young boy.. I always had money to go to movies.. I went to see a lot of westerns.. you know that.. loved those singing cowboys .. loved gene autrey.. saw a lot of those old great serials.. saw the old Superman serials with Kirk Alyn.. saw the old Batman and Robin serials.. it was like television.. movies were like back then.. you went again and again and again.. and what they want to do with movies .. to LITERATURE.. is so HORRIFIC.. you NEEDED that time school high school STOLE from you .. you NEEDED it.. you wanted to be a lawyer in your twenties didn't you.. you could have studied noam Chomsky as a lawyer.. all your studies which you did ANYWAY .. in linguistics.. James Joyce.. Ulysses .. Henry James..

Michael Schorr: .. ahh... never read her.. maybe I will someday.. you could have read all these works as a LAWYER .. if only school hadn't interfered.. it's just.. the women of ISIS are doing great things.. we'll just see.. you take the failures of the world as a personal responsibility.. and that responsibility is MY responsibility not yours.. we'll see what the amazons of ISIS come up with next...
