Celebrity Beauty Demi Moore Went Rogue With Her 2025 Critics Choice Awards Hair—and It Paid Off By Anna Cafolla February 8, 2025 Demi Moore gets ready for the 2025 Critics Choice Awards Photo: Dimitris Giannetos Products are independently selected by our editors. But it wasn’t always so, and it’s been a long road to today’s hair evolution: From her pixie cut in Ghost to the G.I. Jane buzz cut, chic bobs, blonde bowl cuts, and bratpack-era up-dos, Moore is committed to the right transformation for the role. As Elisabeth Sparkle in the much-lauded The Substance, Moore’s super-long tresses that she fusses over incessantly speak to the whorling themes of femininity, youth, and power. In real life, like her style, her hair is transcendent. On her ongoing and successful awards season campaign, Moore has kept her hair long and sleek. She’s stuck to glamorous and gilded looks with designers she has long loved, like Schiaparelli and Armani. The 2025 Critics Choice Awards outfit stayed true to that, but it was in her glam that Moore chose something different. The 3D upper portion of the dress arpeggiated into ribbons of fabric that enveloped her legs, and tied in a full body corset at the back. Celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos—who just gave Gigi Hadid her new flippy bob—had a vision for an up-do that complemented the elegant dress. He prepared her hair using Garnier’s Fructis Hair Filler System, then blowdried the hair with a round brush and the L’Oréal AirLight Pro Dryer to avoid frizz and keep the hair extra smooth with a concentrator attachment for precision. Finally, he pulled the hair up, twisted it, and secured it with bobby pins. It was a thrill for Giannetos to execute too, as Moore rarely goes for an up-do. His reference remained Schiaparelli’s most recent show at Paris Couture Week. For Moore, Lizama has reached for the Diorshow 5 Couleurs Eye Palette and glittery eyeshadow, and the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Multi-Use Foundation Stick for both her overall complexion and in a darker shade to contour and shape.
