Darth Vader always was the chosen one.. and he proved that when he save Luke Skywalker's life and defeated the terrifying, truly horrifically terrifying Emperor in 'Return of the Jedi'.. and then.. this wonderful writer-creator George Lucas.. he wanted to make this Emperor into a very nice man.. into.. a saint.. a perfect.. saint... oh there is no one like him.. like George Lucas.. and like the Ian McDiarmid Emperor.. maybe it's something about the name 'Palpitine' that stirred the chords of George Lucas's heart.. just that heartwarming name 'Palpitine' itself.. in itself.. so George Lucas wanted to tell the story of this truly unspeakably terrifying Emperor.. he wanted to explain the impossible.. how he could become so terrifying so horrifically terrifying.. from beginning as a nice, charismatic and handsome almost-elderly man.. almost-elderly but far from being elderly.. young, sacred boy.. so sorry about Obi Wan-Kenobi.. he really has to become a dastard villain now.. oh dear.. I didn't know ANY of this at all when I filmed episode 4 a new hope.. and then.. filming Empire Strikes Back.. I found out that Obi Wan-Kenobi.. was not a good man.. that he was.. a bad man.. oh no.. oh no.. young, wonderful boy.. that's why I started making him so mysteriously, enigmatically unlikable in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.. so very, very sorry.. oh dearo dearo dear..
