In fact, she thought it was such a long shot that she didn’t even talk to her parents about trying out for the show at first. “I didn't tell my parents I auditioned for Game Of Thrones”. Once Sophie Turner’s parents eventually became aware of her potential acting role, her mother was far from enthused. “My parents found out when I was in the final seven, and then my mom kind of freaked out, and she called my dad and said, 'I don't know if we can do this.'” ADVERTISMENT In an interesting twist, her mother found out that she’d landed the role before anyone else in the family and she was the one who got to tell Sophie the news. Thankfully, by that time her mother was on board and the two of them celebrated together in an interesting way. “She jumped on me and said, ‘You got the part,’ and we both ran and jumped in the pool and ate loads of pizza that whole day.
