The Beginnings of a Character Biography for Hanno Raudsepp's Bruce Wayne aka Batman in the "Gotham" movies to be directed by Tim Burton.. this Bruce Wayne Batman Character Biography based One Hundred Percent on Hanno Raudsepp's own life to an exhaustive, absolute degree..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUxb1PhJH3U .. .. .. .. .. .. Bruce Wayne has a terrified soul which will not change from that status quo condition for an unbelievably long time, for Bruce Wayne is terrified beyond terror of his own abject stupidity. Of his mind's refusal to know anything whatsoever about any subject at all. Does he even study? Charles Baudelaire once wrote about people who Bruce Wayne it's that Bruce Wayne can't remember who those people were but Bruce Wayne is definitely one of them because Charles Baudelaire wrote that they were so unintelligent that 'could they even see?'.. The Unintelligent, the stupid: that is the class that Bruce Wayne inveterately belongs to. Bruce Wayne went to high school and it was one of the very worst things that ever happened to him in his whole life. Because he forgot absolutely everything he learned in high school. Everything. And then because he went to high school he ended up stealing hundreds of books from two libaries. He was caught and let go and then the physical compulsion to steal that always had to be rigidly resisted sprouted psychologically in his hands. That's what happens when you actually get caught for stealing. He finally owned a few books he had bought with his grandfather's money that he was reading consistently and regularly and he was in his mid twenties.. but the thing is.. see.. here's the thing.. It never occurred to him to be at all concerned about whether he remembered anything he read. Just understanding what those long sentences in Henry James's 'The Golden Bowl' actually meant was enough for him to feel fulfilled in his life. It was strange when one of his best friends asked him if he could describe the plot of 'The Golden Bowl' and Bruce Wayne was at a complete loss to remember anything about the plot or story of that novel. Also, sometimes, it was like, to read James Joyce's 'Ulysses' was to really feel an impetus of emotion with the reading of it. That you read James Joyce's 'Ulysses' for emotion. And that you read Marcel Proust's 'Remembrance of Thing's Past' for the sensation of atmosphere, that is, the actual atmosphere of these novels. Or single novel. The single novel, 'Remembrance of Things Past'. To live for the moment and to actually FEEL the atmosphere of the novels you read. Especially, 'The Possessed' by Dostoevsky. To feel the passage of time and the interior environment and interior atmosphere of each chapter of that novel. Kirilov and Stavrogin having a lonely conversation in a nightime leisure diner darkly thickly darkened palpable inner diner nightime closed in atmosphere. And feel yourself there. And so you weren't preparing for any future at all. You were only living for your present moment.. or present passage of time.
Bruce Wayne was no in his early fifties and maybe it is so strange how he is reading now and when he says that he things of that chapter or rather that section of Dostoevsky's 'Crime and Punishment' that begins with the sentence, 'A strange time began for Raskolnikov now.' And what WAS this mysterious strange time of Raskolnikov because Bruce Wayne had never figured that out. But reading was very strange for Bruce Wayne now. He didn't actually like it wasn't really novels he was reading. Greek Mythology was by far the most exciting subject he read about.
Maybe it's an exaggeration to say that he didn't remember anything he learned in high school. Because he still remembered french that he studied in high school. Even though he'd now spent decades studying french and he still hadn't really learned it fully just it's like he seemed to sometime understand an awful lot of the french he would be reading at a given time. But he didn't seem to remember and this was sudden. For a few years now it had been the case with him that he no longer could remember the math he'd studied in high school.
