Lynch is convinced that the grandiloquent Fanny Assingham can be brought to amazing, entertaining, riveting voice by uber-Henry James fan, Shelley Long.. all of the principles, including Uma Thurman who is returning to the role of Charlotte Stant for David Lynch, will be expected to memorize all of the dialogue of their respective characters from Henry James's magnum opus.. for real.. all of the dialogue.. every word and sentance.. from Henry James's novel.. will be required memorization for all the principle actors..
