BEST NEWS EVER!! GAME OF THRONES Showrunners Benioff & Weiss To Write New Big-Screen STAR WARS Trilogy!!

Hola
Dannie & Hercules aqui!!
The
David Benioff/DB Weiss “Star Wars” trilogy will be separate from
both the “Episode” Skywalker Saga (which envelopes Rian Johnson's
"The Last Jedi" and J.J. Abrams' upcoming Episode IX) and
the upcoming non-Skywalker “Star Wars” trilogy overseen by “Last
Jedi” writer-director Rian Johnson.
There's
no word about the longtime "Game of Thrones" showrunners
directing, but if you've seen the amazing effects-heavy "Thrones"
episodes these guys directed, hiring them to helm would be another
no-brainer.
This
is the most exciting news we've heard since Paramount hired "Alias"
writer-director J.J. Abrams to produce and direct the 2009 "Star
Trek" movie.
Lucasfilm
announced no release dates for the Benioff/Weiss Star Wars movies,
but the press release indicates the duo intends to get cracking on
the project once they're completed the final season of "Thrones"
set to hit HBO next year.
HBO
is developing at least five "Thrones" spin-offs, but
Benioff & Weiss are not involved in those.
No
word on how this will affect the modern-day slavery series Benioff
and Weiss are developing for HBO.
This
news will shake the foundation of geeks worldwide! The Star Wars
universe is ever expanding and this news has our minds and hearts all
a flutter! David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are going from
Winterfell to a galaxy far, far away.
“David
and Dan are some of the best storytellers working today,” said
Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm. “Their command of complex
characters, depth of story and richness of mythology will break new
ground and boldly push Star Wars in ways I find incredibly
exciting.”
“In
the summer of 1977 we traveled to a galaxy far, far away, and we’ve
been dreaming of it ever since,” Benioff and Weiss said in a joint
statement. “We are honored by the opportunity, a little terrified
by the responsibility, and so excited to get started as soon as the
final season of Game of Thrones is complete.”
There
have (thankfully) been no sightings of White Walkers around
Lucasfilm.
