the movie begins with elderly citizen ernie being viciously mugged brutally attacked by three young cops in an alley.. peter parker: "you animals!!"... much later on in the movie.. a fairly innocent young cop stops ernie on the street to talk to him, he asks to get his name, to write down his name.. ernie flips out and takes out a gun and shoots him.. their's a heartbreaking close-up of ernies eyes.. ernie walks away.. ernie becomes a media folk hero.. the young cop and his friends, some of them female juvenile delinquient.. they might hire copse by a witley streiber paradigm among twenty-something juvenile delinquients.. the young cop and his friends end up taking aunt may's old folks home hostage.. peter parker: "aunt may!... what has happened to aunt may!.."... Thelma and louise cop on the phone, a hostage negogiater: "I know you're scared, son..".. young hostage-taker cop: "scared, i'll show you scared.."
Jeanne deWolfe, an honest detective played by Nicole kidman who works with Dean Stockwell's Stan Carter, another honest detective, .. Jean de Wolfe is still alive during the hostage crisis.. jean de Wolfe makes the drastic, fatal error of hiring snipers during the hostage crisis.. even though her specialty is crowd-situations.. calming down crowds...
