u v =- i believe desert owls are the largest owls.. they only walk.. they CAN't fly..

they have stubby arms.. arms not wings.. they suck the sap from cactuses in the desert... cactuses can only nourish animals with beaks.. owls have beaks designed for sucking from cactus's in the desert without being pricked by the cactus... that's all they eat ... only sap from desert cactus's.. the other owls are all the size of chickadees.. remember the child science magazines 'owl' and 'chickedee'...
