Dwayne Johnson made his acting debut on a 1999 episode of "That '70s Show" after launching his career as a professional wrestler. He made his feature film debut in 2001's "The Mummy Returns" and has since starred in "The Scorpion King," "Doom," "Get Smart," "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "Pain & Gain," "Hercules," "San Andreas" and four installments of the "Fast and Furious" franchise. Dwayne also voiced the role of Maui in "Moana" and stars on the HBO series "Ballers." He has a teenage daughter, Simone, with ex-wife (and manager) Dany Garcia and a toddler, Jasmine, with longtime love Lauren Hashian.

Zac Efron stars as rookie lifeguard Matt Brody, a disgraced former gold medal-winning Olympic swimmer who was reportedly inspired by Ryan Lochte. (David Charvet played a much different version of the character on the "Baywatch" series.)

Zac Efron made his acting debut on a 2002 episode of the cult series "Firefly." Four years later, he scored his major breakthrough when he starred as Troy on the Disney Channel's "High School Musical." He then starred in "Hairspray," "Me and Orson Welles," "17 Again," "The Lucky One," "Neighbors" and "Dirty Grandpa." Zac romanced "High School Musical" co-star Vanessa Hudgens from 2006 to 2010, dated Lily Collins in 2012 and again in 2013, shared a steamy summer fling with Michelle Rodriguez in 2014 and had a relationship with model Sami Miro from late 2014 to early 2016. But things haven't always been easy for the heartthrob: In 2013, he went to rehab for substance abuse issues. Within a year, he also broke his jaw and had his mouth wired shut after suffering a mysterious accident in his home and made headlines for fighting a homeless man in downtown Los Angeles.

Priyanka Chopra launched her acting career in her native India in the early aughts. The former beauty queen, who was named Miss World in 2000, quickly became one of Bollywood's most popular stars, but she didn't make her Hollywood debut until 2013 when she voiced a character in "Planes." ("Baywatch" will be the first time she's appeared on camera in a Hollywood film.) Priyanka, whose major breakthrough with American audiences came in 2015 when she debuted as Alex Parrish on ABC's "Quantico," has also released three singles -- will.i.am is featured on one and Pitbull is featured on another -- and was featured on The Chainsmokers' song "Erase." She's been romantically linked to some of India's hottest male stars and memorably flirted with Tom Hiddleston after they presented an award together during the 2016 Emmys.

Alexandra Daddario stars as lifeguard Summer Quinn, who initially rebuffs Matt Brody's advances. She was originally portrayed by Nicole Eggert as a smart and hardworking rookie on the "Baywatch" series.

Alexandra Daddario made her acting debut on "All My Children" in 2002. She then appeared in "The Squid and the Whale," "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," "Hall Pass," "Texas Chainsaw 3D" and "The Choice." She's also had stints on "American Horror Story," "True Detective," "New Girl," "Parenthood" and "White Collar." Alexandra previously co-starred with Dwayne Johnson in "San Andreas." Kelly Rohrbach stars as lifeguard C.J. Parker, a role made famous by Pamela Anderson on the "Baywatch" series. Though she was written to be aloof and "dismissive" in early drafts of the movie, the actress met with producers to try to "make her less of an object and more of a person," she told W magazine. (C.J. was originally portrayed as a deeply empathetic young woman with a passion for animals and all things New Age.)

Kelly Rohrbach made her acting debut in 2012. Small roles on "The New Normal," "Two and a Half Men," "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Broad City" followed. She's also appeared on CW Seed's "The PET Squad Files" and had an uncredited role in Woody Allen's "Café Society." In 2015, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue named Kelly Rookie of the Year. The model-actress has also posed for Michael Kors and Gap and appeared in an Old Navy commercial. She dated Leonardo DiCaprio in 2016 and was linked to Aaron Rodgers in April 2017, though she's apparently been seeing Walmart heir Steuart Walton since late 2016.

Ilfenesh Hadera stars as Mitch Buchannon's love interest, super-tough lifeguard Stephanie Holden, who was originally portrayed by Alexandra Paul on the "Baywatch" series.

Ilfenesh Hadera made her acting debut in 2010 and has since appeared in "Old Boy" and "Chi-Raq." She's also had stints on "Chicago Fire," "Conviction" and "Master of None," appeared on the HBO miniseries "Show Me a Hero" and has starred on Showtime's "Billions" as Deb Kawi since 2016. Ilfenesh is set to star on the upcoming ABC crime drama "Deception." She became engaged to Alex Soroken on her 30th birthday in December 2015.

Jon Bass stars as an all-new character, geeky rookie lifeguard Ronnie Greenbaum, who's described as funny, awkward and "a skilled disco dancer." He and C.J. Parker share an unexpected mutual attraction in the movie.

Jon Bass made his television debut on a 2014 episode of "Girls." Since then, he's popped up on episodes of "The Newsroom," "House of Lies" and "American Horror Story." He's also appeared in "Ratter," "All Nighter" and "Loving." In late 2012, Jon took over the role of Elder Cunningham from Josh Gad in the Broadway production of "The Book of Mormon."

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Sergeant Garner Ellerbee, a local police officer who crosses paths with the "Baywatch" lifeguards. Gregory Alan Williams played the character on the original series.

Newcomer Yahya Abdul-Mateen II made his television debut on "The Get Down" in 2016. He only has two other acting credits on his résumé: the 2012 short "Crescendo" and the drama "Sidney Hill," which debuted at Sundance in 2017 but has yet to open in theaters. Though he'll bring the funny to "Baywatch," Yahya will take a villainous turn in the upcoming "Aquaman" movie, in which he'll star as Black Manta. He'll also reunite with Zac Efron on the big screen in the P.T. Barnum musical biopic "The Greatest Showman," which is due on Christmas Day 2017.
