Loki (Ralph Fiennes) : ..”... I walk
a mediaeval staircase upward that is the staircase of evolution.. and
it is two staircases of evolution that I walk upward.. the staircases
of the evolution of humanity and the staircases of the evolution of
gods and goddesses.... and I always since time immemorial walked the
staircase of evolution of The Adversary... and perhaps knew of the
work of Faust that Goethe was someday going to write and I thought to
make an arrangement with his rather gentlemanly Mephistopheles.. I
Loki thought to make a Faustian compact with Goethe's
Mephistopheles.. that he would someday write in German poetry.. that
he Goethe would someday write in German poetry... he would write ..
“die Tur ist offen”.. to mean “the door is open”.. in respect
to Faust telling a poodle who would turn out to be Mephistopheles in
the form of .. a poodle.. that the poodle … well.. that he knew the
way out... wait.. sorry.. but I believe quite frankly that I made a
compact with Goethe's Mephistophelis.. that Goethe would write of
someday.. who Goethe would write of someday.. in German poetry.. in
German poetry.. “die Tur ist offen”... hahahahhahahhah... so..
sorry.. anyway.. it was with Goethe's Mephistophelis that I made a
ratified Compact, to quote “Hamlet” by Shakespeare...”.. well..
well ratified by law and heraldry...”.. that I Loki should for time
immemorial serve in the role of The Great Adversary in Norse Law and
in Human Law.. and that this role of mine of The Great Adversary
should be like a Kingship in Chess which should.. should anchor
humanity.. should provide a great weight for humanity that should..
perhaps I was frightened for humanity that it should.. that humanity
should float off the earth itself if their wasn't some great weight..
and a weight that was human gravity.. as opposed to being what could
actually be a rather painful kind of quantum gravity.. ahh.. that to
avoid.. quantum gravity to avoid.. so to replace quantum gravity with
a very human, classical, humane kind of gravity.. by my being a Great
Adversary of Humanity.. and I'm sorry to say... in respect to the
Norse God Pantheon as well...”
Norse Goddesses Sif and Freyja: .. “..
but not to the Norse Goddess Pantheon.. I pray Loki.. I pray Goodman
Loki...”
Loki: ..”.. I daresay I have read no
Norse myths as yet where I ever proved to be an Adversary to Norse
Goddesses.. no indeed...”...
