The very, very, very ending of "Foucault's Pendulum", directed by Oliver Stone...

Belbo, Diatellevi, Lorenza and Causaban.. are walking away from the devastation in the darkish, darkling dark-blue silvery night..

Belbo (Hanno Raudsepp):.. ".. we're assholes.. the book had the most apocalyptic, terrifying ending of any book written in the history of literature.. and we're ending the movie by walking away .. from the devastation.. and we're walking away .. the movie ends... what a horrible, lame ending to the movie …"

Lorenza (Sophia Copolla):... -".. - what..?.. - yeah.. -  what...?..."

Casaubon (Christian Bale):.. ".. yeah... we're assholes.. the ending was.. - what..?.."

Belbo (Hanno Raudsepp):.. ".. teh ending of this movie is a monstrous betrayal of the reader.. we should be ashamed of ourselves..."

Diatallevi (Bronson Pinchot): " -.. what..?.. I think I died of cancer in the book.. why am I even here..."...

Lorenza (Sophia Copolla):.. ".. we're assholes.. we're definitely assholes.."

Causobon (Christian Slater):.. ".. yeah.. well I know that.. but.. - what..?..

Belbo (Hanno Raudsepp):..".. what a horrible way to end a movie... not a movie for literary purists.. almost as bad as how Peter Jackson's ending of the Two Towers butchered the horrific, terrifying ending of the book by Tolkien.."

Lorenza (Sophia Copolla):.. ".. not nearly as bad as that... not even close.."

Belbo (Hanno Raudsepp):.. ".. you've got a point Lorenza.."

.. in glistening green kryptonite tinted huge block letters.. the words.. "Foucault's Pendulum" fly toward the screen and Pearl Jam's song "even flow" starts playing - end credits begin...
