In the original 733 – 735 issues of Batman Detective comics, was Clayface supposed to transform into an alligater, not necessarily into a crocodile, but into an alligater who was supposed to eat a rather plump looking poison ivy... was that what turned into the Osiris death later on in 52.. the Osiris death was not actually .. traumatic.. because.. it was .. senseless.. and violent.. and Osiris was a true victim.. but this poison ivy death would have been .. horrific.. just.. horrific...
