Bryce Bruce Wayne: .. what is calculus.. a motive of area and tangents.. a tangent of a tangent of a tangent in arguments and debates.. is calculus.. the area between two curves.. is calculus.. derivitive and integral calculus.. they say integral calculus begins with imagining a skyline.. a series of buildings, business high-rises which are all each infinitely thin.... this is an impossible idea we are supposed to be able to mentally compass in integral calculus .. a series of buildings in a row which are each building is infinitely thin... each building is a thin line so thin it disappears into infinity.. then we think in terms of measuring the length and width of this.. building.. this building which is an infinitely thin line.. and it's by doing all this that we can measure the area underneath a curve which covers the contour of all these infinitely thin buildings CRAMMED together.. in a row of infinitely thin buildings.. so there is literally no space between the upper-side of these different infinitely thin buildings of varying height.. so the “area” let us say.. to stretch the breadth of our Plato-esque imaginations.. the “area” of each of these infinitely thin buildings.. each of which is in reality just a line.. an infinitely thin line.. the “area” contained within each of these lines.. assumed in fact to be rectangles.. as buildings are considered rectangles, not actually lines.. when we add all these rectangle buildings together.. arrrghhh.. we get the whole area underneath the curve.. the curve with swathes the upper ahh .. I think it's called .. the curve is.. the .. “skyline”.. of these buildings in a row... end thot eezz ourrzz integral calculus.. first lesson anyway...

Bryce Bruce Wayne is played by Christian Bale for this monologue about integral calculus...
