.... not only does pre-crisis Lex Luthor have the worst luck.. pre-crisis Lex Luthor has the worst sense of timing.. that is why pre-crisis Lex Luthor never became a benefactor to humanity... he loved Einstein to the point of worship.. but struggled forever to understand somehow to no avail Einstein's unique understanding of time.. Lex Luthor could understand quantum physics but he could hardly somehow understand the theory of relativity.. Lex Luthor could understand number but holy boy could he beat time... no he couldn't .. pre-crisis Lex Luthor had a much easier time understanding Stephan Hawking than he did Albert Einstein.. Lex could understand Hawking but not Einstein.. hence his veneration of Einstein .. the one scientist he had yet to understand..

.... Lois Lane somehow .. even the pre-crisis Lois Lane.. always had both good luck and an instinctual good sense of timing .. she always knew how to be rescued Just-in-time by Superman.. no matter how many times she accidently or pretended to accidently fall off buildings.. through windows no less... she was a good journalist that way because she understood risk and good risk time management..
