The Flash Adds Harry Potter Star Tom Felton as Series Regular

TV Line brings word that Tom Felton, who previously filled the role of Draco Malfoy in all eight “Harry Potter” films, has joined the cast of The Flash as a series regular. Felton will play Julian Dorn, described as a fellow crime scene investigator with Barry at the CCPD who “suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than just his good guy reputation.”
It was previously revealed that the The Flash Season 3 premiere will be titled “Flashpoint,” confirming that the new season will be based in part on the popular event story from DC Comics. In the event and the season 2 finale of The Flash, Barry went back in time to do what he couldn’t before: save his mother from dying at the hands of The Reverse Flash.
In the source material, this resulted in some fundamental changes to the fabric of the DCU including Captain Cold being the hero of Central City, the Justice League not existing, Wonder Woman’s Amazonians and Aquaman’s Atlanteans being engaged in a worldwide war, Bruce Wayne being the one who died in the alley and not his parents inspiring his father to become Batman (and his mother The Joker), and Superman being kept in an underground base for years after being found by the military; among others. It’s unclear what sort of changes will blossom as a result of Barry’s actions in the series.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. Season 2 of the series also introduced Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and the Earth-2 version of The Flash as played by John Wesley Shipp (who also played Barry’s father, Henry Allen). The Flash Season 3 premiere is already set to debut on The CW on Tuesday, October 4 at 8 PM ET.
