Zeus: .. Diana.. you wait.. and you gained all your Amazonian powers thru waiting.. and your Amazonian training was encompassed by the art and science of waiting, which you mastered.. you have mastered the art and science of waiting, Diana.. and this is an art which hearkens back to the most ancient of Greek societies... to the Greek culture's which preceded the Ancient Greek city cities, to the pagan culture's which preceded the Minoan culture.. by many, many centuries.. these were the true ancient pagan states.. and Aphrodite was a goddess still worshipped in these Ancient States.. under that name, poor Diana, under that name... Aphrodite .. Aphrodite.. Aphrodite... and before Aphrodite their was still another goddess .. Medusa... Medusa.. Medusa.. and the serpent was her symbol .. and she derived her strength from her hair.. and she derived wisdom from serpents.. so she merged and mixed her strength and wisdom by extending her hair into the wiry motions of serpents... but their were some who said that Medusa's hair was not literally hair which became serpents.. but that her hair was merely the motions of serpents.. and it was as if the wisdom of Medusa's hair could hallucinate serpents.. and Medusa's serpents were hallucinations.. Julian Jayne's might someday write of this.. and of the breath of Medusa.. the windy Nous of Medusa.. and no goddess has waited as long.. as .. Medusa.. except perhaps.. her daughter Athena.. only Athena .. has waited .. as long as Medusa...
Diana: .. and I will wait as long as both Athena and Medusa combined.. I owe them that much...
