FIRST LOOK: Gal Gadot as the leather-clad, sexed up new Wonder Woman in Batman Vs Superman... and it's a far cry from the days of Lynda Carter

We're used to seeing her in the patriotic red, white and blue costume that became a dressing-up favourite of every little girl.
But the modern day Wonder Woman has a darker side as revealed in this first picture of the superhero in Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
The photo of Israeli actress Gal Gadot in character was posted on Twitter by director Zack Snyder during San Diego's Comic Con on Saturday.

Stood on what appears to be volcanic rock and with a sword in her left hand, Gal stares menacingly into the distance in the Warner Brothers promo shot.
The new Wonder Woman has kept the figure hugging bustier, thigh high boots and gold head and wristbands of Lynda Carter's iconic 1970s version of the comic book star.
Director Zack wrote alongside the post: 'Great time at #SDCC this year!'
The tougher re-incarnation fits with 29-year-old Gal's background as a former sports trainer in the Israel Defence Force.
The former Miss Israeli beauty queen and successful model served mandatory military service in the country for for two years.
Superfit Gal did her own stunt work when she appeared in the three latest Fast and Furious movies.
Speaking of winning the prestigious role of Wonder Woman, she told the Batman News website of her excitement.
'I was just on my way to shooting at LA. I landed at New York on a connection flight when my agent, Hadas Lichtenstein, called me.
She says to me “Wonder Woman!” and I’m like “What??” – “The role is yours!…and it’s a secret and the news are not yet announced and you can’t tell anyone…”.
'I’m saying to her “Are you serious??”- and we    both scream!'
Gal is married to Israeli businessman husband, Yaron Versano, and the couple have a three-year-old daughter named Alma.
The actress appeared at Comic Con on Saturday alongside her co-stars in Batman vs Superman, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.

The 6,000 strong crowd who packed the auditorium to see them were treated with a teaser of the movie.

According to Deadline, the brief clip shows Batman on a rooftop on a stormy night with his eyes glowing blue through the mask of his Batsuit.
'He strikes on the Batsignal which illuminates the sky, revealing Cavill’s Superman floating in the air, staring him down with eyes glowing red,' the website continues.
